Meet Alexander

A practical, neurodivergent-informed approach to counselling shaped by education, mentoring, creativity, and a deep interest in how people grow and make sense of their experiences.

My Background

Before becoming a counsellor, I spent more than a decade working in education, supporting learning, development, and wellbeing across a wide range of settings.

Throughout that time, I became increasingly interested in the emotional and psychological factors that influence how people think, learn, adapt, and navigate challenges. This led me to complete a Master's degree in Counselling and transition into therapeutic work.

Today, my counselling approach draws from both disciplines — combining psychological insight with practical, capacity-building strategies that help people better understand themselves and move forward with confidence.

Why I created Viora

Viora was created from a belief that counselling should be both compassionate and practical.

Many people experience anxiety, burnout, emotional overwhelm, or difficulties related to ADHD, Autism, and neurodivergence without feeling fully understood by traditional approaches.

I wanted to create a space where people could explore their experiences without judgement, gain deeper insight into recurring patterns, and develop meaningful strategies that support long-term wellbeing.

At its core, Viora is about helping people make sense of their experiences, strengthen their capacity, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Practical Strategies

Support should extend beyond the counselling session and translate into everyday life.

My Approach

Understanding Before Fixing

We begin by exploring the experiences, patterns, and challenges that shape your current situation.

Neurodivergent-Informed

Different ways of thinking, processing, and experiencing the world deserve understanding rather than judgement.

Capacity Building

The goal is greater resilience, confidence, self-awareness, and independence over time.

Outside the Counselling Room

Outside of counselling, I have a long-standing background in travel, music and creativity.

These experiences continue to shape my appreciation for learning, self-expression, resilience, and the many different ways people make sense of themselves and the world around them.

I believe personal growth is rarely a straight line. Whether through counselling, education, creative practice, or life experience, meaningful change often begins with curiosity, reflection, and understanding.
